This video brings me such JOY. It gives me hope for the future, hopefully I can be eating like this soon without the accompanied guilt. I want you to know that you are the reason I am slowly overcoming my unhealthy relationship with food/ borderline (if not) eating disorder. I appreciate you so much and can't thank you enough. I want to get into that level!!! I start tracking my calories and macros to see how much I was eating, I thought 1800 was too much, so then I became obsessed, to the point I was eating SO LITTLE for my active life (workout 5 days a week, most resistance with HIIT and twice a week is LISS workouts)...I was eating an average of 1300 calories!! (some days I would go only to 900 ) And that's all because of my fear of carbs (I am type 1 diabetic - learning that carbs are not enemy, but they are also essential and I CAN eat it without compromising my health) and also my fear of gaining all the weight I lost! BUT I noticed I have no energy for my workouts, and I was often tired. I was lacking EVERYTHING! Because I measure everything to portions I thought I had to eat, instead of letting my body tell me how much I needed! Today marks a week of me "intuitively" listening to my body, and OMG I have never felt so great! With so much energy, sleeping better, and enjoying food, thinking of it as FOOD, not as calories and carbs. And guess what? I am eating my carbs and my blood sugar levels are great! Somedays I need more than others..and slowly I am stoping with all the worry and temptation to cut back and track calories religiously again. Thanks! You're a ray of sunshine! :) and I love your accent.

Yes, definitely more of these week/month tracking and natural fluctuation videos! It totally helps me feel like my changes in appetite and training abilities are normal 😄 I fell into the trap of thinking because I felt full on a day when I ate very few calories that that number was all I “needed” for fuel, which resulted in me attempting to restrict in a way that limited my training and resulted in crashes/binges later on. When really, I should have realized it was just a low appetite day which was balanced out by a slightly higher appetite day before or after. Same with the bloating videos, sooooo helpful to remind me to think about fitness goal progress as overall averages long term, rather than immediate changes. Consistency is proof of change, not just achieving a certain difficult task or milestone once (though that feels great too), you know?
