In my prime at 24 years of age. My official records recorded with the Hillsborough County Sheriff Office: - 1.5 miles run in 10:06 (min:sec) - 1 minute push-ups 71 - 1 minite sit-ups 56 - 300 meters sprint 0:42 I have no idea what I could do in my 30s now. In my prime I used to do 4 miles every day, no breaks, at around a consistent 34 minutes pace. Also curl 50 lbs dumbells daily. Life changes as you'd get older. The mucho young man stuff phrases away and other important things in life will become your priority believe me. Back when I was 18, the U.S Army was rocking the old camouflage and the physical fitness test requirement was 1 mile in 8 minutes or less with push and sit ups.

When I'm around 100 lbs my but sometimes rised off the ground but I can still do a full sit up. What is that? Has anyone seen that before? If I'm at least 110 it wont happen.

The test alone is tedious. Just wanted to point out that for the sit up the number of repetitions completely is counted when the shoulders hit the ground. Every single one counts. 😒 like I said tedious.

The only inaccuracy is that the Army counts your sit-up after you’ve gone up and gone back down. So on that last rep you come up but don’t come down, it’s does count. Also doing the run on a track sucks ass. The best is when they have a straight strip that’s a mile down and mile back. But that’s more my opinion. But that’s more cause I have a messed up leg and running the circular track tends to irritate it more than when I go straight out and back.

Correction* To pass the push-ups or the press-ups like you're saying you have to do a minimum of 19 push-ups, the max of repetitions is 42, so you managed to pass with a 100% on the push-ups. The minimum of the sit-ups is 53 repetitions and the maximum score is 78 in which you passed with another 100 points. For the 2 mile run the minimum time required is 18:54 and the maximum is 15:36 and you scored 100 points again! So your score in total is 300 points. You passed with 100% on every test! I know this because I'm in the ROTC and I take the APFT which is the Army Physical Fitness Test for short!

I'm from New Zealand and just got selected into the New Zealand army. It's interesting to see how you guys have a resting position as I did not. And for us there was not time limit but you could only stop for just less than a second in between reps on the pressups

for the mens you would've gotten 62/100 for pushups (minimum 39), 100/100 for situps (minimum 50), and 74/100 for 2 mile (minimum 16:36) 236/300 which isn't bad. a tip for the situps when you cant do anymore going straight up try to wiggle your way up (go right elbow to left knee and then left elbow right knee and repeat until youre up and then throw yourself back and let gravity take you down)

When she stopped at eleven I freaked out. Cause you actually mess yourself up by resting. You pretty much have to power through using the momentum for the next set. Like you let yourself lower without you controlling it and you just push so you don't face plant. .... It's a good thing you did pushups and situps first cause if you ran first your core would be so fucked. ... Since you were on grass you could've just dropped so all you needed to do was sit up. Controlling decent slowed you down. .... The run isnt to shabby. But the closer you are to the field the easier it is. The farthest strip from the field has the largest radius to run. .... DI's prevent people from running the inner rings.

I appreciate her trying to correct herself after saying it's simple, but the apft really is simple. You should do the acft which is replacing the apft, the acft it easier to pass but harder to max and has a universal score range for age and gender so the minimum and max is the same for all ages and genders

For anyone wondering for males the push up portion is 42 for minimum 79 for max score sit ups is the same for both genders and the run is 15:46 minimum for males and anything under 12 minutes is max.

So as a current service member you would have passed technically passed but your scores are off, you are only allowed two faults with push up sit up section so your numbers were off, also you always finish where you start no matter the lane. But still woulda passed, GJ
