IF actually works great for me because I sometimes binge while rushing through hw at night. IF prevents me from binging since I can’t rly eat at night, and my lazy ass doesn’t like preparing food in the morning either. Not too big of a commitment for me personally.

this is a perfect example of how what works for others won’t always work for you. I had a lot of the same experience as you with school and work and practice and even after adjusting my windows I still struggled with it. I was using an app to help me out and I finally deleted it after realizing it just wasn’t working for me. I am happy though that this works for others, unfortunately it’s just not for everyone.

Well, cool if you don't want to implement it, but by saying that there is no rigorous evidence that suggests that IF is good you're just spreading misinformation and putting off people who could actually benefit from it. Btw. you're eyes are gorgeous!

Hey Paulina ☺️ i say that I haven’t done a complete review all of the key, peer reviewed literature on the topic so I don’t have any conclusions, but there’s a major issue I see with the literature I have read that’s widely cited in that controls aren’t properly implemented. I’m neither supporting nor against it - I just haven’t been impressed by the literature I’ve looked through in a few days and weeks of study, but that doesn’t mean it’s not scientifically sound. My opinion so far is that there’s a lot more properly conducted testing to be done. Thank you for watching and for the kindness too 🤗🤗

I feel like I do this accidentally (with like a later period of time) because of my school schedule (one more year of grad school, and then I'm done), and it totally does not work for me... I'm underweight, grumpy, and I'm less motivated to workout (not just because of my schedule). I am actively trying to change my diet scheduling, but it's hard to do because of my lifestyle. weirdly IF never really worked for me either. I did 12-8 frame - and always found myself too busy in my afternoon to remember to eat my macros. So I end up undereating and then, as a result, would have really low energy. On top of that, I also CONSTANTLY think what will eat once I break the fast. IF just wasn't for me, meal prep works. Plan 5 meals - if I end up skipping one, I can at least fit it in later in my schedule.

Intermittent fasting cured my insomnia. I was able to sleep 6-8 hours a day. The first week is the hardest the sugar withdrawal is real. I do 18:6 or 16:8 sometimes 20:4... lose 2 kg in two weeks i am walking 30 mins to 1 hour a day. I am 20kg overweight. Calorie intake is 1200-1400.

Congrats on your journey love but please look at her video on eating enough calories so you don't screw up your metabolism. 1200-1400 is way too low if you are working out and could lead to bingeing or slowing your metabolism. I eat almost 2000 calories daily now and I've noticed better changes this way. I used to fast and restrict and it slowed my metabolism ultimately. Wishing you the best🙏🏼

Yes please for science explained!!! You've now hit the 25k likes... pretty please? I'm fascinated because I started trying it 3.5 weeks ago, and like you I have experienced no major positive effects but if anything it just made me just obsessed with food to make sure that I was able to eat enough in my feeding window. My mindset became a lot healthier when I just opened up my eating window from 9am - 9pm to basically curb any late night cravings.

For anyone who want to do IF I highly recommend to consult with gastroenterologist before doing it. If you have any problems with digestive system like gastritis, stomach ulcers, cholestasia it can made things worse. The best plan for your stomach health will always be eating small portions often so that the intervals between each food consumption will be less than 7hours. Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native.

I'm on day four and now feel stuffed after eating only a salad during eating window, and I hardly feel hunger at all before the end of a fast. I highly doubt this is making me any healthier. Worried my stomach is shrinking or something. :/

lmao intermittent fasting really isnt for me and i think that's partially due to anxiety with having to explain to people why i cant eat with them and i also just start thinking about food too much. i assume people who do it, do it because they find it easier to lose weight or not overeat?

Well I can only speak for myself but intermittent fasting should be a lifestyle change, so if my friends want to go out and it’s past my eating window I will still go out and eat as fasting should be flexible to your life. If you want to go out you most definitely should, you just get back on fasting the next day. I was so pretty overweight and as a result I was seeking pretty drastic change. The main reason why people fast is because it’s pretty difficult to overeat during such a small window and there can be less restrictions on your diet. I personally lost 40kg from 20/4 intermittent fasting in a year (not the only thing I did) Now I’m not suggesting you fast to that extreme but when you get used to 16/8 fasting it’s not as bad. Although I would say you need to at least be doing the 16/8 fasting in order to see visible results.

this is my second time trying IF since last year & it took q alot of courage for me to try it again as i lost my period when i did it the first time round. been on it for close to 2 months & didn't notice much diff in terms of how i look but i realised that im constantly thinking abt food & i can't seem to focus on my work in general. also felt rather weak and lethargic throughout the day... not sure if it's because im doing it wrongly?? i need advice 😔

I'm a type one diabetic and I'm about 25 lbs over weight and struggle with workout out because I have high blood pressure. I'm stuck in the house and only working out at home is making it difficult to feel productive with my weight loss. I've been IF 16/8 for 8 days now and I had to break my cycle twice due to low blood sugars in the morning. I don't feel any changes in my body, clarity or energy. I just obsessively think about food now. I have dreams about cookies and doughnuts. It's making me mad. I'm not sure how I will manage to keep this up but I want to give it a try because I've done low carb, low calorie, whole food. So many things.

hey girl type 1 diabetic too, it is really bad I had the same when I hd to eat because I didn't have my sugar levels in control...I am not a doctor but from my experience. Try to get your sugar levels to perfection first and then you can try IF. i did it and it helped me a lot and I also realised that my levels got so much better cause no more snacking and only two meals...basically only two meals you can fuck up to give the right amount of insulin!! hang in there girl I know its much harder for us but I know you can do it!! and losing the weight will also help you so much with feeling better overall and needing less insulin!! for me it was never about losing weight but becoming healthier and this should be your main goal as well!!:))

Thanks for sharing, Natacha. I've been doing intermittent fasting for a bit over 3 months now and it's working out great for me (thanks to https://theblakediet.com/ for all their help they're awesome!) I began because I needed to lose weight and had been hearing nothing but good things about it which is why I decided to give it a go. I lost 19lbs the first month would you believe? I do the 16:8 method and just basically make sure to take in A LOT of water. I used to have a hard time drinking water btw but drinking from a straw really helps and sort of tricks your body into drinking lots for some reason. Anyway thanks again for this, I always love hearing about other people's experiences with IF. This was just awesome!

Why people say doing the 12pm-8pm is better (16:8) : The first hours of fasting, your body is mainly working on your blood sugar level. It goes high, then low to settle later on. After that whole phase, your body will start burning fat. This process starts aprox 11 hours after your last meal. You are releasing 6 hormones which includes Adrenalin, this one will give you a boost of energy. This comes around the time you'd probably wake up naturally in the morning ( around 6am-7am if you go to bed by 10pm let's say) . 12 hours after your last meal is the Ketosis phase. Your body is still burning fat and releases more energy, hence why you feel you can achieve a lot without eating yet. For the rest of the hours, 14 to 16 aprox, you are in Autophagy phase. Let's say your body is doing a clean up, a detox. So you may feel a bit hungry but if you keep strong and busy, this phase will go fast and it gets easier with time. If you start your 16:8 at 8am, you are wasting so many hours of good energy by sleeping ( Let's say you wake up at 6am ) and you'd already wake up hungry as you'd be in Autophagy phase already. Going to bed around 10pm leaves your body being awake to regulate your blood level, even while asleep then when you wake up at 6am-7am ( A good 8 to 9hours sleep is good) you will wake up with more energy and the fast will be easier to deal with as you'd be awake to use that good energy and not feel hungry yet. Hope that was kind of clear haha I am not a pro but I did a lot of research on the "most recommended" schedule for intermittent fasting. There is more advanced ones like 20:4 but for any beginners that's extreme to start that strong into the game.
