I have taken a bedtime probiotic that also has digestive enzymes in it as well as a morning prebiotic to manage my ADHD related anxiety and depression. It does actually make a big difference in my mood as well as my bloating and the swelling in my ankles. So there is something to using a probiotic and when I added the prebiotic it really boosted my mood.

I had to stop eating gluten 8 years ago due to diagnosed ulcerative colitis. My doctor told me if I wanted to reduce the risk of colon cancer and losing my colon in the long term then I needed to remove gluten from my diet. Wheat causes lots of severe symptoms for me (and also certain winter squashes like spaghetti squash 😭) so cutting it out made a massive difference for me and allows me to naturally manage my disease without medication. Although many many people do not need a gluten-free diet I really appreciated the trend because it brought so much awareness for people who actually need it. Eating that way got so much easier once people knew about it

Every time I eat a reasonable amount of food, my stomach just expands super far and I look so fat and normally before I eat in the day I’m pretty skinny. It makes me not want to eat that much because of that. I think there’s something wrong with me because whenever I get stressed, I can’t eat anything without (TMI warning) getting diahrrea. Everything just goes right through me. I hate it. I wish I was like normal people who didn’t get affected when stressed. I used to be fine and nothing happened when I got stressed except panic attacks. But now I literally can’t eat some days if I’m stressed about something. How the heck am I going to live as an adult with all those stresses when I’m like this as a teen. I have chronic pain and digestion issues which cause my stress too.

I am constantly bloated. Constantly. As soon as I start drinking water in the morning, I instantly swell and look 6-month pregnant for the rest of the day. It simply never goes away, ever. I need to tuck my tummy in at all times. I tried all possible diets, and consulted specialists, had blood tests, various treatments, and even an MRI - to no avail. Absolutely nothing works, my bloating issue is a mystery. And when I try to look for a reason or a solution online, all I find is about losing weight, which is NOT what I'm talking about. I don't drink alcohol, don't eat much processed food, don't have a sweet tooth and never use salt. And yet here I am now, endlessly browsing the internet only to find the same old, commonplace explanations.

My quality of life was terrible because of digestion issues when I ate a diet with a ton of vegetables, fiber, fruits, nuts. I feel 'normal', as in calm after eating and able to socialize because I am not in pain, having almost no fiber, and a diet of: red meat, raw fat, aged cheese, A2 yogurt milk and cream, and minimal amounts of potatoes and orange juice. Literally nothing else. Been doing this about 1.5 years. Quality of life is not even comparable.

I was prescribed the FODMAP diet in 2015; it's extremely restrictive, although the purpose of the diet for me was to single out which foods I was intolerant to. I've still got a really poor relationship with food, to this day.

This is actually great. I used to be low-FODMAP and it’s absolutely true - DO NOT restrict your diet to that level unless you are seriously ill. You are seriously doing more damage than good. Water, sleep, exercise and a well-rounded and balanced diet is really the best we can do in the absence of conclusive research. Thanks for the video!!

Hi everyone, just want to say something real quick ! It has been like 4 years that I can not eat any vegetables or things with fiber because my body just react really bad to them (cramps, bloating, gas, constipation, etc.). But I discover the Beano pills two weeks ago and since I took them, it just change my life (no more gas, no more constipation, still a little bit bloating but don't feel any pain). You can found those pills on Amazon and some stores. It was really important for me to wrote this, because honestly, I'm just so happy that I can finaly eat vegetables after all those years, and I want to make sure that everybody who are in the situation I was before can finaly, like me, eat everything he wants again 😊 Take care ✌🏻

That totally sounded like a not adjusted biota to me before reading about the pills XD. Keep in mind that could always happen again when you eat something you never had before. My gut reacted badly to tofu in the past, but only because I wasn't used to it. Wasn't a problem anymore after like eating it 3 times 😉

Important point! The connection between grains and heart health are not proven. This was an arbitrary connection made in the 50’s backed by the American Heart Association which is funded by grain companies. Studies have been held to try to prove whether this claim is true and it couldn’t be proven. Grains do not support heart health.

For me, carbs literally bloat my belly as i found out recently btw im an endomorph so for other endomorphs here's my tips for ya 1. Go on a high protein low carb diet or a paleo diet 2. Do you drink alcohol? If so how often? I suffer from terrible water retention /bloating around my waist which I just cant shift. I know alot is caused by alcohol and stress. Pretty sure I had some bacteria eating on my lining like you mentioned...i went keto a few months back and cut a ton out of my diet and did not take supplements or electrolytes. A few months in and all my pants fit fine, but a line across my naval is constantly tight and painful. Bloating after anything goes into my stomach...and farts like I just chugged a 40 liter protein shake 24/7. The doc felt my belly and told me it felt a bit on the raw side and told me to start taking probiotics and more fiber to help. The pain has definitely gone down since then.

I eat slow. I try to eat every 2 to 3 hours a small portion. I drink a gallon of water a day or a little less. I exercise everyday. I take vitamins. I sleep pretty well. I look 6 months pregnant. I am so tired of feeling like this. I don't want to eat anymore. There are days where I don't have an appetite and still bloated. Nobody has been able to help. I even tried doing a Candida cleanse and nothing! 😢

I watched many videos on bloating as I was dealing with the same problem and I discovered that if you eat slower it reduces bloating. I have to say it did work for me, however, I don't have the patience for that 😅

This is an interesting topic. I’ve been a relatively petite person my whole life but I’ve had to deal with chronic bloating. Maintaining a healthy micro biome is important but I think part of it, it relates to my poor posture, like I tend to keep my abs not engaged and strain my back muscles throughout the day. This improves if I run or actively engages my abs when I’m walking. I don’t have the science to back this up but I feel like it gets my digestive system going. Without my abs actively engaged, my stomach can continue to extend, harboring excess waste and gas. It makes sense that diet, exercise, sleep are interlinked with overall health.

@Sasha Petticord People with lactose intolerance often have a gluten intolerance. I, myself, have it and only found out this year. Fructose is also something to test for. If nothing helps go and see doctor so he can send you to a specialist. Lots of luck
