I grew up on a fast metabolism but is started slowly slowing down cause of water loss I and as a kid I ate alooooooot but gained barely any but I started gaining almost after I stopped drinking much water and had full control over my food and as u might guess I gained weight growing up and now I wanna lose it sooo bad but after having a huge appetite growing up restriction is almost impossible but I want to lose weight sooo badly and quickly I very strict dieted and exercised aloot and I've lost weight but i also binged and gained more than I lost and was super depressed about it so I just started drinking more water hoping it would boost my metabolism and it did but not for long so I increased the amount of water I drink in a day but the binging continued and am trying to stop it but I am constantly using my energy and am always hungry so I eat but then I get food guilt and starve myself the next day and binge the one after and the cycle continues I am trying sooo hard to keep a diet but am scared to eat more than 500 calories a day but if I don't then I will binge eventually idk what to do

That's why I believe in Cal deficit all the way. It's better too coz u can still be flexible about it (many ppl like myself live with my fam and budget issues and dietary restrictions) plus lose weight. Intuitive eating iswhat i aspire to inculcate but only once i have reached my goal weight. I have a lot to lose and i m doing it slowly đ but steadily đ€. If u want to lose weight just eat cal low voluminous foods and whole foods in bulk and move your body. If you are at a healthy weight it's the best way to maintain that and that's what I would be doing. đđâ€ïž

I hope you can answer this question for me please??? I have learned after trying a few different eating styles (keto, paleo, vegetarian) that it is best to just make healthy choices and eat when Iâm hungry or need fuel. That being said, I have been doing a strength and interval training program for more than a month. At first I lost about 1 kilo a week. But now going Into a third week of my weight staying exactly the same. I did lose 4 inches around my waist but now inch loss has stalled as well. I only eat twice a day on a normal day because that is as much as I get hungry. A normal meal would be 1 cup brown rice or two slices wheat bread with some type of meat protein and a vegetable. Sometimes my second meal is just a smoothie but most often it is a meal like the first. What am I doing wrong that my fat loss has stalled?

I was sick for about a week and during that time I was sad I couldn't gym and cook my healthy meals. I had to order restaurant foods and they were pretty unhealthy foods. So, I kind of decided to turn it into a cheat week. No training no clean eating no portion control. Lol. I'll probably get alot of hate but Natacha you are amazing. I've been doing intermittent fasting since Dec 2019. I've struggled ALOT with weight loss my entire life. I lost 40 pounds since then. I feel much better on low carbs. Keto didn't suit me. I came here from Coach Greg who also doesn't advocate intermittent fasting but I've been following his advice on slowly picking up and increasing cardio. What are your thoughts on weight watchers? Iâve lost 40 pounds using it but now am unfortunately having trouble not binge eating because I felt so restricted. I lost 10kg a year ago, wanted to lose like 15 but just couldn't do it anymore because of all of the cravings. Today i gained it all back and 1kg more. Its hard to think that i suffered months for nothing. Looking for more sustainable and healthy solution. I tried intuitively eating 9 months ago a bit but still overate a lot ( maybe i still felt guilty for eating certain food so it lead to binging ). I know weight doesn't define you but I'm overweight and I'm closer to obesity than normal weight which scares me. I used to weight 15 kg less at 18 and I'm 21. I hit puberty early so I had my "adult" body. I did start taking the pill which might have not helped. I wish i didn't diet at 18 when I was perfectly normal...

This is why I'm not 'dieting' in the traditional sense. I've just changed my calorie intake to what I want to eat for the rest of my life (with some exceptions sometimes of course), and my weight will follow that and find a balance with it. Whatever weight I end up with when it finds that balance, is what I'll be happy with. I try to stick around 1500kcal a day, with some fluctuations for special occasions, and I feel full, satisfied and find that that I feel the need to binge and eat fastfood less and less.

... this was very discouraging. I was (in a way still am) incredibly unhealthy and overweight. Highest weight was 275 lbs. I'm 5'6". I'm down 60 pounds... but i'm basically hearing that this is impossible and a waste of time... because my body is fucked now. Once I got fat, I'm stuck being fat or i'll struggle with it forever.

I don't think it is impossible. The body wants to be in a healthy, sustainable weight range. In your case, even if that range was elevated because of time spent in overweight range, the body probably still wants to lose some of that weight to become healthier. So focus on eating healthy. I would recommend you check Dani Spies on youtube. If you adopt a healthy nutrition plan & some exercise and don't rush it as this video says, ı think you will be succesful.

Okay so here is my history: I'm bisexual... and bulimic. Although both things don't seem related, they are. My family is very conservative and homophobic. When I discovered myself years ago I started a journey of punishing myself, even though I didn't feel bad for being bisexual, I was always fearing everything, feeling anxious for everything and not eating anything. I went through therapy and jumped from anorexic to bulimic to orthorexic to bulimic and so on. My parents think that therapy sessions don't work, but the reality is now I know why I just can't eat as a normal person or love myself like a sane person. It's because I just don't fit in my family. I've always felt unloved since I was a child because my mother always controlled me. So I started controlling the only thing I would be able to: food. Well, I'm still battling my Eating disorder, but every time I'm at home I get worse and worse. I just can't get rid of diuretics. I just can't stop counting calories. I'm always panicking. It's not just your fault you can't maintain a good relationship with food. You have to look around. Look how you grew up. Stay safe. Keep your quarantine going on.

I really want to get to a point where I can just have a positive relationship with food and not restrict myself or try to change my eating habits only to look a certain way. Logically, I know itâs stupid but if you hear a lie enough times, you start to believe it.
