This was super interesting and instructive thanks for making this kind of video, I feel like I understand much better why I thought I’d lost so much muscle when I took a rest week. It’s reassuring to know in the future it was actually just the inflammation/glycogen ! Also my boyfriend challenged me to go from 10 to 25 push-ups, and 3 to 10 pull ups so I’m even more motivated to go for those since I won’t ever completely lose it !

Say, having been a butt-kicking hard-working competitive athlete from the age of 3 to 38, then falling headfirst off the fitness bandwagon for 6 years and now feeling like they’re at the bottom of a very deep hole without any good handholds to climb out? I just found your channel and the science you just described behind what happened to your legs is exactly what’s happening to my legs right now. We’re in the middle of this Coronavirus lockdown and of course with gyms being closed, my workout routine has changed. I have always focused mostly on heavy weight leg press and hack squats but I can’t do that now. I was discouraged about how much mass I thought I’d lost, but the way you explained it makes me feel like haven’t lost much at all and muscle memory will kick in once gyms reopen. Thank you so much for breaking it down bc now I feel much better!😊

Great video and explanation of the changes in your condition. 👍I can do push ups OK, not quite as many as you I'm sure 😂 but I can't yet do 1 pull up. Any tips? My physical challenge this year is improving my handstands. I want to be able to hold a handstand away from the wall for 1 minute! Currently I can manage about 3 seconds 🤣. Any tip on that would be great too. ❤️

I think your pecs and shoulders really did grow, 4 weeks is enough to get some hypertrophy when your chest is basically untrained. Those pecs are looking swole.

With the increase of water storage, did you notice any weight gain? Which I assume can also often be misleading when bulking - thinking you gained a lot of muscle mass when actually your body just stores much more water.
