I struggle with nutrition in such a terrible way and I have no idea how to fix it. I almost always break down crying when I think about it because it feels so hopeless. There are so many foods that I avoid because the texture makes me gag so hard (and sometimes actually throw up). So I basically eat like a child: no veggies or fruits (even the ones i enjoy the taste of because the texture gets to me so much). And I'm so frustrated amd ashamed of myself for not being able to fix it.

Im 13 which means i need a minimum of 9 hours of sleep. And on top of that im autistic which for many autistic people means we need extra sleep. And for me that means i need 10-11 hours. Its annoying because others my age only sleep 7-8 hours and are fine, while if i get under 9 hours im died. Because of my autism im also hyper sensitive and that means im a picky eater. Therefor i take a multivitamin+, fish Oil, fiber pills and some extra bacterias for my gut (given to me by my doctor)

I relate so much to the sleep thing. I slept only 3-4 hours a night for almost a year, I thought enough will, cofffe, sugar and naps could make up for it and looking back it made me sick (so sick i had to go to the hospital several times), very slow, like my mind wasnt there (people thought i was really dumb but really i was tired) and even though I had time to do all the things I wanted to do I wasnt really there mentally for most of it so I was a waste of time. I had this idea that I was going to make the most out of every day and wantd to try something different every single day. I would have gotten so much more out of my time had I slept properly and had real food instead of super sugary coffe drinks.

We might group hydration in with nutrition, but honestly I feel like that deserves to be a seperate point. Ever since I started making myself drink more water, I started craving it and realised how I just spent years and years in a dehydrated state. It's so so important. Also another basic could be something like "safe environment". If you're in an abusive household, a flat where stuff breaks all the time or where it's dirty, or have no space where you can feel comfortable, no hours of sleep will ever be enough to make you feel better. Let's all realise the amount of privilege we have for being able to exert some kinds of control over these basics.

Small point on B12 - we're all deficient as it's found in soil microbs which due to how food is sourced we don;t get anymore, however meat eaters get this via animal products who are given supplements as well, hence it doesn't come from animals directly.

Natacha, thank you so much. I've been currently on like a diet where I eat mostly nutritious foods and some snacks along with it. But, it turns out, this has always been my lifestyle. And by me putting attention on that kind of lifestyle, I started looking at calories and portion sizes. This isn't what life is about. I find myself unhappy if I eat something I wasn't supposed to. This all leads me to just go on some kind of junk food binge like I have this idea in my head that all the food will expire and I need to eat and enjoy it before it all disappears. Eating in moderation is not for me and it's time that I understand that. I don't need to be on a diet, I have the perfect weight already. Whatever I was doing before, not necessarily caring and living life to the fullest. That was the way God made me and the lifestyle my body thrived on. From now on, I just don't care. I will eat whatever I want, whenever I want, however I want, I want to be satisified phyically and mentally. Im tired of eating and feeling guilty. I think that this freedom will give me the ability to stop thinking about food all the time. I can finally just relax and breathe and live life instead of worrying about how many calories are in a banana.

I started increasing my calories per day a couple of months ago and then I rediscovered your channel and found out about all the videos you did on metabolism, ED, etc. When I started I was scared of eating 800 cals a day and I now am at 1500. I also started working out. Your videos are really helping me to stay on track with my recovery and I feel a bit better ans more confident every day. So, thank you Natacha😘 Love from France

I don't know how but I need to change my mindset into wanting to eat healthy and excercise for health, instead of wanting to look slimmer/loosing weight. Because its true, you won't be consistent. It's good you're able to achieve a balance in life👍 I've also not got a routine workout plan, and have fallen off the healthy lifestyle :(

This video really helped me realize that just bc I don’t have the perfect body doesn’t mean I’m not on the right track, I eat nutritionally dense food most of the time and I sleep a good amount most of the time and I exercise 5 hours a week and I still have days where I go out and eat ice cream and that’s okay too :)

I always feel really self conscious, because I am a competitive swimmer and am 5’7 and weigh 120 pounds with some muscle. At my school, I always have a bunch of dancer girls (that have the body type of a stick) come up to me and tease me about how “heavy” I am. It really messes w/ me and has caused me to eat waaaaay less throughout the day, which is bad, because as a swimmer I burn over 1000 cals per day so I have been feeling really fatigued during training. But when I eat the amount of food my body needs, I immediately feel guilty and fat. Advice? I guess what I am asking, is how do I deal with these girls? And is being 120 pounds and 5’7 really heavy?!
